KAPCHORWA LAUNCHES 1B ROADS FUND

Kapchorwa District and Municipality has officially launched the one billion road fund at Chema Subcounty.

The first road is Chema-Burkoyen which connects district from Chema s/county to Municipality through west division, Burkoyen cell.

The Chief Launcher Hon Fadil Twallah MP Tingey told residents that the road fund is to support the PDM beneficiaries in accessing products and markets which will take Kapchorwa to the money economy.

The Woman MP Hon Phylis Chemutai thanked government for providing machines and money for Kapchorwa feeder roads .

The Deputy RDC Mr Martin Sakajja asked the people to continue supporting NRM government for better services and warned PDM Chairperson to stop extortion of beneficiaries or prison waiting.

The Vice Chairperson LCV Mrs Yeko Frida requested residents to cooperate with the machine operators for quality work but not to corrupt them to fail deliver quality road work.

The CAO Mr Martin Kiplangat asked the communities to help monitor the rehabilitation of the road to the standard by avoiding fuel siphoning and other bad practices.

Others at function were DEC members, Deputy Mayor Municipal, DISO, DPC, district and Municipal Engineers, all political and Technical members of Chema.
